To celebrate the contributions of our 32nd President, Franklin D. Roosevelt, the United States Mint issued a dime with his portrait in 1946. The Roosevelt Dime replaced the "Mercury" dime in 1946. The dime, originally composed of 90% silver was changed to a clad composition with the Coinage Act of 1965, but in 1992 the silver dime was reintroduced to the coin world in proof state, giving it a mirror-like finish. Each coin is struck twice with a razor sharp appearance - you can easily see yourself in them!
This Silver Proof Roosevelt Dime is graded by ANACS as Perfect Proof 70!
