The Perth mint is known for its extraordinary bullion coins, and this one is no exception! With a legal tender of 50 cents, this 2015 release by the Perth Mint features the Hammerhead Shark. Known for its unusual and distinctive head structure, Hammerhead Sharks are a group of sharks in the family Sphyrnidae. Unlike most sharks, hammerheads usually swim in schools during the day, becoming solitary hunters at night. They range from 3-19 feet in length and 6.6 to over 1200 pounds in weight! The reverse depicts a single hammerhead shark from below with the inscription "Hammerhead Shark." The obverse carries the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, and the legal tender denomination of 50 cents.
This coin will come in Uncirculated, and thus mint state, condition. It will arrive in an airtite capsule and black pouch to protect its condition.
